i first fell in love with this view from our front yard in may when the apple orchard in front of the barn was in bloom. i have continued to love it with every season change so far. now we have planted our own little orchard on the other side of the white fence....see our first two baby trees there? we planted eight fruit trees running along th east side of the fence: a two-in-one cherry with yellow pie cherries & red sweet cherries, a two-in-one asian pear (these are the two trees in the photo), 2 different apricots, 2 different peaches, a pie cherry, and a two-in-one pie apple. and we're excited. we have also planted 3 different varieties of blueberries, and 3 thornless blackberries, and waiting for asparagus & rhubarb to arrive. BUT as i am writing and enjoying the view this photo affords, i realize that as our little trees grown, they will compromise my view........ this i hadn't planned. but it does feel so good to be practicing provident living (a new topic on my side-bar) by planting bushes & trees that will provide food.
awesome pics! what a pefect yard/house!
